Royal Caribbean has officially welcomed Legend of the Seas, the newest Icon Class vacation, to the family ahead of its highly anticipated European debut on July 4.

After nearly two years of construction in Turku, Finland, more than 1,200 crew members and partners came together for a legendary delivery ceremony led by Royal Caribbean Group Chairman and CEO Jason Liberty, Royal Caribbean President and CEO Michael Bayley, and Meyer Turku CEO Casimir Lindholm. During the celebration, the team recognized the hard work of thousands of engineers, designers, architects and crew members who brought Legend to life and marked the transfer of ownership between Royal Caribbean and Meyer Turku.

Legend will kick off the summer in Europe with 7-night Western Mediterranean adventures from Barcelona, Spain and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy. before heading to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November offering a mix of 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean vacations, with each itinerary visiting Royal Caribbean’s top-rated destination Perfect Day CocoCay.

Legend features an unparalleled lineup of record-breaking experiences across eight distinct neighborhoods, including the most dining at sea with 28 options; all-new nightlife, edge-of-your-seat entertainment across stage, air, water and ice; and more.

What to look forward to:

• Legendary Flavors – Legend is serving up the most dining at sea with 28 different options. Vacationers can dig into iconic dining experiences transporting them through the golden age of cinema at Hollywoodland Supper Club or through the Silk Routes at Royal Railway – Legend Station. The Icon Class favorite food hall, AquaDome Market is also bringing a reimagined selection of global cuisine with five all-day food stands alongside a brand-new juice and smoothie bar.
• Legendary Nights – With new entertainment across stage, air, water and ice, vacationers can have the ultimate night out with Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas, or by raising a glass to top-notch entertainment across more than 20 bars and lounges. More deck-defying entertainment will also take center stage at the iconic AquaTheater and Absolute Zero, the largest ice arena at sea.
• Legendary Adventures – Vacationers can take on adrenaline-pumping thrills with six waterslides at Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea; Crown’s Edge – part skywalk, part zip line experience 154 feet above the ocean – rock climbing; mini golf and more.
