Taiwan’s ‘Elite Artists Trio’ Makes Its Singapore Debut!

Local non-profit organisation Music For People will present the Symphony Beyond Time concert on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Esplanade Concert Hall. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to palliative care organisations and music education programmes for underprivileged communities.

The concert will be conducted by Music For People’s founder, Singapore conductor Dr. Audrey Chung. She has shared candidly that following the passing of her father, she fell into a period of deep despair and was unable to raise her baton. However, inspired by a message of blessing her father left for her before he passed, she found the strength to persevere and complete this profoundly meaningful performance.

The programme centres on Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C Major and Symphony No. in D Minor, using music to portray a journey “from darkness into light” — conveying messages of hope, peace, and love.

One of the concert’s highlights is the Singapore debut of Taiwan’s Elite Artists Trio. The ensemble comprises pianist Sherry Chen, violinist Qin-Yun Du, and cellist Limu Ya. The trio is also the only chamber music group in Taiwan to hold the distinction of Steinway Artists Ensemble.

The concert also features an international roster of soloists, including soprano Jessica Chen, mezzo-soprano Anna Koor, bass William Lim, and tenor Lee Jae-Wook from South Korea.

Joined by a large chorus of over 230 singers and a symphony orchestra of 70 musicians — totalling more than 300 performers from Singapore and 12 countries and regions — they will collectively present Beethoven’s Symphony No., with the “Ode to Joy” ringing out as a celebration of unity across cultures and languages.

Dr. Audrey Chung said: ‘Symphony Beyond Time’ is not just a concert — it is a gift dedicated to life, peace, and hope. We hope that through music, more people can rediscover light even in times of adversity.”

Music For People has also launched the Music Box Initiative, which involves gifting MP3 music players preloaded with over 200 songs to the Singapore Hospice Council and the Malaysian Two Tree Lodge Palliative Care Association, so that music may continue to accompany patients through the final chapter of their lives.

Founded in 2018, Music For People is a Singapore non-profit music organisation dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities through music education and performances. Its initiatives include sponsoring visually impaired youths, establishing a children’s choir for indigenous communities in Malaysia, and advancing music programmes for patients and those in palliative care.

音乐会由 Music For People 创办人、新加坡指挥 Dr. Audrey Chung 担任指挥。

Music For People 还启动了 Music Box Initiative 项目,向新加坡临终关怀委员会和马来西亚 Two Tree Lodge Palliative Care Association 捐赠预装超过 200 首歌曲的 MP3 音乐播放器,让音乐在生命的最后篇章中持续陪伴患者。
