The annual Children’s Season returns from 30 May to 28 June 2026 with a month of free and ticketed activities across 21 museums and institutions, inviting families to spark wonder and creativity
through the power of play.

Anchored on the theme ‘Sustainability’, this year’s edition invites children to become Earth’s Superheroes as they imagine a greener future through play, discovery, and wonder.

Led by Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG) — Singapore’s first and only children’s museum — Children’s Season 2026 marks the first time CMSG celebrates International Day of Play (IDOP) through PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026, a dedicated week of play-based programmes culminating in a weekend carnival from 12 to 14 June, stretching from CMSG to Lewin Terrace and Armenian Street.

Children at the Heart of Children’s Season

As Singapore’s first and only museum dedicated to children, CMSG is built on the belief that play is how children learn most naturally and deeply. This philosophy comes to life in Children’s Season 2026, which features its third iteration of the Children’s Panel. Comprising 25 students from Huamin Primary School aged 10 to 11, the panel worked closely with CMSG and artists, providing insights and feedback to co-create this edition’s Signature Programmes. Among their contributions: a suggestion to design a badge as part of the craft component for Ms. Nat and the Zero Waste Heroes, and a hand in developing the props and costumes for the animal characters in The Four Harmonious Friends. These reflect CMSG’s genuine commitment to letting children shape the experiences made for them.

Children’s Season 2026 Programmes

From hands-on workshops and parent-child programmes to a weekend
carnival in celebration of IDOP, families can enjoy a wide-range of activities across Singapore this June holidays at Children’s Season 2026.

Based on the insights provided and selections by the Children’s Panel, this year’s edition features four Signature Programmes, spread across the island, at CMSG, Indian Heritage Centre (IHC), KidsSTOP™ and Singapore Maritime Gallery – reflecting the collaboration between HeritageSG and the Museum Roundtable network. Blending play and storytelling, the Signature Programmes invite families to learn about our heritage and sustainability.

At CMSG, Ms. Nat and the Zero Waste Heroes transforms children into Earth’s Superheroes as they lower the Waste-O-Meter through sustainable habits. Raja and the Lost Journal at IHC take participants on an interactive journey through the lives of early migrants, discovering how they turned limited resources into ingenious solutions. Children can also enjoy an immersive play-based experience to discover and save our oceans at the Singapore Maritime Gallery’s The Coral Keepers, or explore ways to champion harmonious and sustainable living through four animals at The Four Harmonious Friends in KidsSTOP™, Science Centre Singapore.

The fan-favourite Stamp Booklet Activity returns at Children’s Season 2026. Families can pick up a stamp booklet from any of the 21 participating MR members and collect special stamps after completing an activity at the venues. Prizes will be awarded based on the number of stamps collected.

Celebrate International Day of Play with PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026

In celebration of International Day of Play (IDOP), held annually on 11 June to champion every child’s right to play, Children’s Season 2026 will feature activities that promote play-based learning, with sustainability as the anchor.

True to CMSG’s belief that children learn best through play, IDOP celebrations will culminate in a vibrant PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026 Weekend Carnival, happening from 12 to 14 June 2026, stretching from CMSG to Lewin Terrace and Armenian Street.

In line with CMSG’s child-centred approach, a group of Little Ambassadors will lead a children’s takeover, taking on on-ground roles such as assisting at the booths, welcoming programme participants, assisting with registration, and ushering.

In addition to the workshops and drop-in activities, families can explore activity booths and outdoor spaces for play to learn more about being an Earth Superhero through play.

Children’s Season 2026 promises a month of exploration and discovery for the next generation of sustainability superheroes. With a mix of free and ticketed programmes across the island, families can plan their June holidays around activities that suit their schedule and interests.

Ms. Nat and the Zero Waste Heroes 的手工部分设计徽章,以及参与开发 The Four Harmonious Friends 中动物角色的道具和服装。

CMSG,Ms. Nat and the Zero Waste Heroes Raja and the Lost Journal
