Celebrate our shared heritage and the vibrancy of Punggol’s community at Heritage Activation Node (HAN)@Punggol Open House! Taking place from 14 to 29 March 2026, the inaugural Open House marks the culmination of community-led efforts over the past year to showcase the heritage of the precinct. Join the festivities across Punggol as it transforms into a lively display of the neighbourhood’s history, featuring community projects, site-specific installations, heritage trails, and art-based heritage programmes that bring the neighbourhood’s stories to life.

Launched in 2025 by the National Heritage Board (NHB) and OH! Open House as part of a three-year partnership, HAN@Punggol seeks to increase knowledge, foster belonging, and inspire participation among Punggol residents through co-created initiatives. Through this
collaboration, NHB works with OH! Open House to offer contemporary art and heritage projects that tell stories of the neighbourhood, connect residents with their neighbours, and celebrate the living history of Punggol with the community.
The Punggol Neighbourhood Storybook
The Open House celebrates the launch of the Punggol Neighbourhood Storybook, which features 10 short stories of familiar Punggol histories developed from oral history interviews and archival research. These stories are presented through creative narratives that make local heritage engaging and accessible, particularly for younger residents and families. From memories of seaside dining at Punggol Point and kampong life to a poignant story inspired by Punggol Zoo, the Neighbourhood Storybook offers an entry point into Punggol’s
past. It includes an activity section that invites residents to physically explore their neighbourhood and discover how heritage can be found even in contemporary spaces.
HAN@Punggol Open House to feature four ground-up community projects
Beyond the storybook, four community projects telling the stories of Punggol’s heritage will be spotlighted at the Open House. These ground-up initiatives, which arose from HAN@Punggol’s first public Call for Collaborations issued in 2025, include an audio trail and
walking tours exploring Punggol’s coastline, a curated communal dining experience, a virtual reality art workshop rediscovering the area’s flora and fauna, and a resident-led diorama exhibition about pig farming. The Open House will also feature artist-led works inspired by Punggol’s sights and sounds, offering fresh perspectives into the neighbourhood’s identity and transformation.
New Call for Collaboration for HAN@Punggol
NHB and OH! Open House will jointly issue a second public Call for Collaboration for HAN@Punggol from 14 March to 30 June 2026. Community groups and individuals are encouraged to submit their ideas and proposals for consideration, continuing the momentum of community-led heritage initiatives in Punggol. HAN@Punggol 由 National Heritage Board (NHB) 与 OH!
The Punggol Neighbourhood Storybook
HAN@Punggol Open House
