Leading global travel services provider Trip.com Group is proud to announce a donation of S$500,000 to the SingHealth Duke-NUS Obstetrics and Gynaecology Academic Clinical Programme (OBGYN ACP) and the KKH Health Fund (KKHHF) to establish the new Trip.com Oncofertility Programme. This donation will support fertility preservation efforts for young women undergoing cancer treatment, giving them hope to start families in future.

The gift aims to boost the fertility preservation take-up rate by increasing awareness and education among cancer patients, their families, and oncologists about the importance and options of fertility preservation. This programme provides critical support for women diagnosed with cancer, enabling them the possibility of starting a family after treatment.

Ms Jane Sun, Chief Executive Officer, Trip.com Group, said: “At Trip.com Group, we believe in supporting initiatives that make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives. The challenges faced by women diagnosed with cancer are immense, and through this donation, we are committed to helping them preserve the opportunity to build a family. We are honoured to work with KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) on this important cause, and hope to positively impact the lives of these courageous women.”

KKH is Singapore’s largest specialist institution in women’s health, and the Trip.com Oncofertility Programme will be pivotal in addressing the needs of young women battling cancer. The funds will go towards expanding access to fertility preservation procedures and services, providing these women with more choices and support as they navigate cancer treatment.

Dr Charissa Goh, Consultant, Department of Reproductive Medicine, KKH, and Lead of the Trip.com Oncofertility Programme said: “We would like to thank Trip.com Group for their generous donation to the KKHHF and the SingHealth Duke-NUS OBGYN ACP. Fertility preservation plays an important role in cancer survivorship and is an important consideration for many young cancer patients. This contribution will help more young female cancer patients access fertility preservation treatments by alleviating their financial pressure.”

The Trip.com Oncofertility Programme will also focus on educating healthcare providers and families about fertility preservation, enabling cancer patients to receive timely advice and access to fertility preservation treatments.

This new Programme, along with the company’s spectrum of family-friendly policies, showcases its commitment to encouraging people to start and raise families, and is an extension of its family-friendly policies – such as its childcare subsidy programme, hybrid work arrangements, staff insurance policies that cover spouses and children, as well as assisted reproduction benefits. It also reflects the Group’s commitment to give back to the community and support those in need. Trip.com Singapore was recently recognised by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) as a Company of Good – Three Hearts under the NVPC’s revised Company of Good Recognition System.
