Interestingly, Melaka emerged as a rising destination for romantic rendezvous in 2024, to rank sixth amongst the top searched destinations by locals this Valentine’s Day.
#2: Exploring new horizons 🌍

While SEA destinations stay in vogue, Singaporean love birds are spreading their wings in 2024. Long-haul destinations such as Dubai, Tokyo, and Sydney beckon, promising unique experiences—from luxurious desert safaris in Dubai to the coastal hideaways of Palm Beach, Sydney.
In fact, searches for Sydney jumped by a remarkable 150% over the past year while interest in Dubai doubled (48%), signalling a growing curiosity amongst couples to take their romantic retreats beyond usual go-tos**.
#3: Love, zen, and wellness 🧘♀️

Echoing the sentiments of last year, wellness havens Ubud and Seminyak reclaim the spotlight as Singaporeans’ favourites for Valentine’s Day. These destinations, known for their tranquil ambiance and holistic retreats, continue to be the epitome of relaxation and rejuvenation. In sync with Booking.com’s Travel Predictions 2024, we anticipate a surge in mindful water immersion—set to become the next mainstream meditation.
